Its All in the Start....
Starting is half the battle...

Promises of Purpose LLC has been living in my head rent free for years. I knew what I wanted it to be, to look like, and how it should feel. I just never had the motivation to start. It was eating away at my mind, constantly peeking out, but I never felt it was time. Procrastination has always been my friend, but never a good one.
Many years ago, running was my passion. I enjoyed every aspect of it; the air moving through my nose with its sweet smell, feeling the wind against my back, my feet hitting the track. Now some years have passed, and I no longer run, but I still consider myself a runner. It’s just in me. One thing will always be engraved in my mind and that’s starting the race. Getting out of the blocks wasn’t always easy, but it determined your race. A bad start was detrimental to the race. It’s hard to recover when you don’t start well or have a false start. Having a good start didn’t necessarily mean you would win, but it did mean you had a chance. You were in the race. No matter what, starting meant you were trying..
Starting is the hardest part. This dream of mine has taken many years to manifest. Again, living in my mind waiting to be birthed. Last year I decided to move it from my head to my heart. Things started happening quickly. I was taking care of business. I hit a stall because I felt accomplished. After all I finally had my LLC, right? I false started. I thought I was ready, but the pressure was too much. Once I moved my dream from my heart to my hand, things moved even quicker. I was ready. I started again and that was the right start. Everything began to fall in place.
Sometimes we are fearful of how the race will end. Because of this we don’t ever start or even have false starts. We don’t allow ourselves a chance in the race. The beauty of this race is it’s our own. No other competition, no time to beat, just us running in the wind. Don’t let “the right time” stop you from starting. When we deny ourselves the start, we’ve already lost the race. Your dreams and visions deserve a chance to win.
God has it all mapped out for you. He knows every curve and straight you must take. He’s equipped you for the race. He will give you endurance to keep running. He just needs you to start. Enter the race. Give yourself the chance to start even if you must start over and over again. Let those dream live. God will manifest every promise He’s given to you.
